What We Know, Where We Are Heading, and Where We Should Aim to Be
Abstract
Children aged six months to three years have been documented as vulnerable to persisting emotional sequelae to hospitalization. However, this age group is inconsistently provided age-appropriate emotional and developmental support in hospitals. This article addresses considerations for optimizing the hospital environment for infants, toddlers and their families.
